Relaxation — Need a rest after hours of sightseeing?
Then sit down and relax in the Franciscan Garden (Frantiskanska zahrada). It‘s right in the centre, between Wenceslas Square, Vodickova Street and Jungmann Square. And you will get back your peace of mind there. Get yourself an excellent ice-cream (tocena zmrzlina) in the Svetozor Arcade. Your children can enjoy the playground and a sand-box there.
Letna park is a great place for relaxation. It‘s the hill with a metronome on the top that you can see from Dvorakovo nabrezi embankment. Cross over the Cechuv most (bridge), climb the stairs and you are there. Enjoy the beautiful view of Prague. This place is popular for skateboarders and rollerbladers, frisbee lovers, etc. You can rent rolleblades there and join the locals! Or relax on the grass and look at them ;)
Water always fascinates people. In summer, it‘s nice to spend an hour on the river and do sightseeing from a rowing boat. There are many shops renting boats along the Vltava River, i.e. next to Zofin on Slovansky ostrov (island), close to National Theatre. Beyond that, you can always learn something new here. If visiting Prague in April, don‘t miss the exhibition of tropical butterflies in the Fata Morgana hot-house. Beautiful butterflies will flutter around you.
